Heath Rules can be created and viewed through Properties

On Relationships and Observe, click the entity type name or hover over and click an entity set to view overall health by entity type. The red health symbol indicates unhealthy entities in warning and critical states. Unknown entities either do not have a health rule or do not contain enough data to determine health status. These are grouped and labeled unknown. See Entity Health Monitoring and Configure Health Rollup.

Observe and Relationships display up to three Health colors, combining warning and critical statuses in the red symbol.

From the list view, you can view the health violation information of the entities that are in critical, warning, or unknown state. Click the health symbol to view the violating metrics and the conditions on the HEALTH AND ALERTING inspector panel. For example, if an entity is in critical state, you can click the health symbol to view violating health rules or anomaly detection. This information helps you to quickly identify the violations for the entity without navigating deeper into the entity page.

Click a row in an entity list to display entity health details. Cisco Cloud Observability features these entity health details:

  • View the entity health indicator.
  • Click Entity Health Timeline to view the alert details for the selected time range and the violating data. See Health Violation Timeline.
