Unified Observability Experience enables you to leverage the capabilities of both AppDynamics SaaS and Cisco Observability Platform by maintaining context in your troubleshooting workflows. With AppDynamics SaaS, you get an in-depth view of your application performance monitoring data. Whereas Cisco Cloud Observability, which is powered by Cisco Observability Platform, provides an in-depth view of your full stack across the domains and visibility into logs and traces. Cisco Cloud Observability has an extensible, flexible, and scalable data model that makes it capable to add new features to meet a broad scope and future observability needs. As a user of AppDynamics SaaS, you can leverage these modern capabilities and features of Cisco Cloud Observability. These capabilities can reduce tool sprawl, mean time to detect root causes, and mean time to resolve issues in your applications.

How Does Unified Observability Experience Work?

Currently, Unified Observability Experience allows you to leverage the advanced logs troubleshooting capabilities of Cisco Cloud Observability from your existing AppDynamics SaaS tenants. The applications in your environment, which are monitored by AppDynamics SaaS generate logs that contain vital information about actions, errors, warnings, unexpected conditions, or other events. So, the logs collected by AppDynamics SaaS from the monitored applications can be pushed to Cisco Cloud Observability for enhanced log troubleshooting with in-context logs for your application.

How does it Improve Your Experience?

  • After you connect your existing AppDynamics SaaS tenants to Cisco Observability Platform tenants, you can contextually navigate from the former to the latter without losing your application data. This helps in troubleshooting the application issues.
  • You can easily correlate the performance data in AppDynamics SaaS with your logs in Cisco Cloud Observability and quickly identify the root cause of the performance issues. This reduces the mean time to detect the root cause and mean time to resolve the issue.

Region Availability

This feature is enabled for the tenants in the PDX region during the Early Access Program.
