Data collectors allow you to supplement business transactions with application data. The application data can add context to business transaction performance issues. For example, they show the values of particular parameters for business transactions affected by poor performance.

This data shows the business context affected by performance issues, such as the specific user, action, etc.

To configure data collectors for business transactions, maintain data collectors under Instrumentation settings.

  • Name - only used for easy identification of the data collector in list of all data collectors
  • Active - activation flag for a specific data collector
  • BT Name Filter - list of business transaction names (or BT name patterns) where a specific data collector will be applied. When name of a specific business transaction of compatible type matches the BT Name filter, collected data will be added to the business transaction snapshot.
