This page describes how to disable or configure Kubernetes® Kubernetes Events Collection using the Spectro Cloud® Palette user interface. This feature is installed when you install Kubernetes and App Service Monitoring and is enabled by default.

Before You Begin

Ensure you have installed Kubernetes and App Service Monitoring Using Spectro Cloud Palette. You should have a Cluster Profile that contains the Splunk AppDynamics add-on packs.

Configure Events Collection

  1. Log into the Spectro Cloud Palette console.
  2. In the left-hand navigation panel, click Profiles.
  3. Select the Cluster Profile that contains the Splunk AppDynamics Operator and Collector add-on packs.
  4. Expand the drop-down menu next to the profile name. Click Create new version. 
  5. Click the Splunk AppDynamics Collector pack layer. The values file is now displayed.
  6. Modify the values file by adding the settings described in Configure Events.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. In the left-hand navigation panel, click Clusters.
  9. Click the cluster that you want to apply the new events collection settings on.
  10. Click the Profile tab. Under ADDON LAYERS, locate the Cluster Profile with the Splunk AppDynamics packs. 
  11. Expand the drop-down menu and select the new version of the Cluster Profile that contains the new settings.
  12. Click Save.
