| Enterprise Console | Enterprise Console 23.4 includes MYSQL version 8.0. You can upgrade MYSQL to version 8.0 after you upgrade the Enterprise Console and the Controller. 
Any fresh installations or upgrades from older versions to 23.4 will continue to use MYSQL 5.7 version by default. However, you can upgrade to MYSQL 8 after the installation. For information on how to upgrade MYSQL, see Upgrade MYSQL Version. This release also includes optimizations and bug fixes. | Events Service | To secure the communication between nodes in a cluster, you can now encrypt it using Transport Layer Security (TLS). This basic security setup helps prevent unauthorized nodes from accessing your cluster. See Set Up TLS To Encrypt Communications in the Elastic Stack.
