Introduces the quarkus-scheduled-annotation-discovery node property to instrument the Quarkus scheduled tasks automatically.

Smart Agent

With this release:

Smart Agent has no dependencies and no longer requires network access for installation. See Smart Agent.
You can install Smart Agent on the Linux-based and the Windows machine by using a universal zip file. The InstallScript file is no longer available for installation. See Get Started.
You can install Smart Agent CLI using the zip file. See Smart Agent Command Line Utility.
The installation steps are reduced. See Get Started, and Smart Agent Command Line Utility.
The performance is enhanced for installation, upgrade, and rollback of Smart Agents.
The path for ld_preload.json is changed from /etc/opt/appdynamics/ld_preload.json to <SmartAgent dir>/lib/ld_preload.json. See Auto-Attach Configuration.
Smart Agent supports the following updates for the Machine Agent Installation. See Machine Agent Custom Configuration.
- By default, Machine Agent starts as a service after the installation is successful. To start Machine Agent as a process, specify start_as_process: true in Custom Configuration on the Install Agent page.
- For Windows, the admin privileges are required to start the Machine Agent as a service.
- For Linux, the root privileges are required to install Machine Agent as a system service. However, if you install Machine Agent as a non-root user, the Machine Agent is installed as a user service that runs under the same user account as the Smart Agent.

Agent Management Enhancements

There are no UI updates. However, there are updates to Smart Agent. See Smart Agent enhancements.

Agent Management Known Issues

After you upgrade a managed Node.js Agent through the UI, a new application gets displayed for the same agent with the upgraded version.
To further manage (upgrade or rollback) the agent, use the original application on the UI though it does not display the last upgraded version.
When you use the Machine Agent configuration file (config.xml) to modify the custom builds and custom extensions, the modified parameters get overridden by the parameters specified in the UI during the installation or upgrade.
Currently, there is no workaround.
