Cisco Digital Experience Monitoring on the Cisco Observability Platform is a real-time monitoring tool that helps the machine of your enterprise by identifying vulnerabilities that contribute to outages, downtime, or disruptions to the user experience, such as slow page load times, and assesses the root cause of issues that affect performance while recommending solutions.

Digital Experience Monitoring Roles

To set Digital Experience Monitoring roles:

  1. Sign in to your Account Management Portal.

  2. Navigate to Access Management > User Management.

  3. Select Company Users.

  4. Click  and select Add a user or Add multiple users.

    • To add a single user, enter the user email and, optionally, the user name. 

    • To add multiple users concurrently, paste or type a list of user emails. The system ignores existing emails.

  5. Click Submit.

Role Description

DEM Observer

This role allows you to observe data in the Digital Experience Monitoring application. Meaning, you can view configured browser applications, health rules and sessions.

DEM Administrator 

This role allows you to observe data in the Digital Experience Monitoring application. Meaning, you can view configured browser applications, health rules, and sessions. Additionally, with this role you can create, modify, or delete health rules and application configurations.

Digital Experience Monitoring Modules 

Digital Experience Monitoring offers the following modules: 

  • Browser Real User Monitoring: This module allows you to monitor how your web application is performing from the end-user perspective. You can drill into real data to explore how users experience your application in their web browsers.
  • Session Replay: This module allows you to visually replay user sessions. By analyzing user behavior, you can optimize your website or application to provide a better user experience.
