Support Advisory: Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2

Summary

Microsoft ended support for Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 on January 14, 2020. See Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2 End of Support for more information.

Following the End of Support Notice: Windows Server 2003, AppDynamics no longer supports the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 platform.

This change is effective upon the release of the 20.6 AppDynamics Enterprise Console. 

Customer/Software Impact

Customers running Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 on the following artifacts are affected.

• C/C++ SDK
• Machine Agent
• Network Agent
• Node.js Agent
• .NET Agent

Workaround

We will not issue any fixes specific to Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

Resolution

Upgrade to a supported version of the Windows Server OS: Windows Server 2012 or later.
