Supported Application Workflow

The following workflows help determine the tools required to use Agent Management to perform agent operations.

Buildtime Workflow

The buildtime workflow is the workflow used when you install the agent when building the application environment.  This type of workflow is common in Container environments.

Agent Management provides the following tools to install the agent in the buildtime workflow:

• Smart Agent Command Line
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Cloud Foundry

Runtime Workflow

The runtime workflow is the workflow used when you already have an application running and you are installing the agent for the existing application.

Agent Management provides the following tools to perform the agent operations in the runtime workflow:

• Smart Agent
• Ansible
