Cluster Agent Notes

The following notes describe 4.5.16.x, 4.5.17.x and 20.3.x updates to the AppDynamics Cluster Agent.

If an artifact has been updated, the version number of the updated artifact and its availability date are listed below.

Version 23.3.0 March 6, 2020

Enhancements

• The Cluster Agent can blacklist and whitelist pods based on regular expression and domains

• You can configure the maximum number of Cluster Agents that can report to an account.

• You can configure the maximum number of pods that can be associated with any Cluster Agent.

Version 4.5.16.780 January 14, 2020

The Cluster Agent is generally available for SaaS and On-Premises Controllers, versions 4.5.17+ and later. The Cluster Agent requires a Server Visibility License. This version replaces the earlier Limited General Availability (LGA) release of the Cluster Agent.

Enhancements 

• The Cluster Agent has been updated to include Proxy Support, and support for the Alpine OS.

Version 4.5.16.592, November 12, 2019

Introducing the Cluster Agent. The following notes describe 4.5.16.592 updates to the Cluster Agent.

Enhancements 

• The Cluster Agent is generally available for SaaS and On-Premises Controllers, version 4.5.16.221 and later. The Cluster Agent requires a Server Visibility License.

• The Cluster Agent is available for download as a zip archive from the download portal (http://download.appdynamics.com). The download package contains the Cluster Agent binaries and instructions for how to build a Docker container to be used to deploy it. It will also contain the necessary yaml configuration files to deploy the AppDynamics Operator (link) which is used to deploy the Cluster Agent itself.
