Workflows help you determine the tools that you can use for Agent Management.

Buildtime Workflow

You use the buildtime workflow when you install the agent when building the application environment.  This type of workflow is common in Container environments.

Agent Management provides the following tools to install the agent in the buildtime workflow:

• Smart Agent Command Line
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Cloud Foundry

Runtime Workflow

You use the runtime workflow when you already have an application running and you are installing the agent for the existing application.

Agent Management provides the following tools to perform the agent operations in the runtime workflow:

• Smart Agent
• Ansible
