Unified Observability Experience

You can now set up Cisco AppDynamics SaaS to work with Splunk Cloud Platform. This setup allows you to access application logs on the Splunk Cloud Platform directly from the Controller UI using deep links. With this feature, you can seamlessly navigate from the Controller UI to the Splunk Cloud Platform to view logs related to applications, tiers, nodes, business transactions, and transaction snapshots. The deep linking functionality ensures that context is preserved for troubleshooting and data analysis between Cisco AppDynamics SaaS and Splunk Cloud Platform. This integration offers comprehensive visibility across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, enhancing operational efficiency, reducing mean time to detect (MTTD) issues, and lowering mean time to remediate (MTTR) issues. Alert and Respond

You can now create health rules for business transactions with tags criteria. You can use API or Controller UI to create the rule. Specify tag keys and values for the business transaction that you want to monitor. The health rule monitors all the business transactions with the matching tags. See Health Rule API and Health Rule Entities.

In HTTP Request Template, you now have the option to retry an HTTP action after it fails. The retry mechanism works when an HTTP action fails because of the following reasons:

  • CONNECT_TIMEOUT_EXCEPTION

  • CONNECTION_POOL_TIMEOUT_EXCEPTION
  • NO_HTTP_RESPONSE_EXCEPTION
  • JAVA_NET_SOCKET_EXCEPTION
  • JAVA_NET_CONNECT_EXCEPTION
  • Status code specified in the Failure Criteria option of the template

When you select the Retry on Failures option, an attempt is made to send the HTTP action to the configured third party application. The maximum number of retry attempt is two.

Mobile Real User Monitoring

When analyzing crash events, you can now view a list of all the devices experiencing crash in the Crashes > Analyze page. Earlier, you could view only top 10 devices experiencing crash, the remaining devices were categorized as Others. To view all the devices, enable analytics.piewidget.show.all.enabled the in the administration console. See Crash Analyze.
